The Rhyming Insult Arena

Arena Minion [SAHS] stomps into the arena. "Cover your ears and avert your eyes, denizens! Hail the triumphant return of [Mortified Penguin] and [cobi] to this here stage!"

The Minion's mood dictates that [cobi] will begin.

[cobi] Amazing how they let retards as you compete in a battle of intellect.
[Mortified Penguin] This will be another grievous performance by you, I suspect.
So far, you've shown me you are quite a pitiable opponent.
[cobi] you're incapable of rhyming, your brain's missing that component.
oh well, what can you expect from one born and raised in puss?
[Mortified Penguin] Fuck you. Bitch.

2004-10-09 [BadCat]: Snigger. Too bloody right.

2004-10-10 [cobi]: well, it's a new age, where people leave their fight before they end. we old guys will just have to learn to adjust.

2004-10-10 [BadCat]: Can't we old guys just teach the young 'uns? With a chainsaw?

2004-10-10 [cobi]: i'd use a dictionary, a thesorous and a machinegun.

2004-10-10 [Sagacious Turkey]: that's just wrong...

2004-10-10 [Young J.C.]: If you don;t know, yahoo means a boorish, crass, or stupid person.

2004-10-10 [Sagacious Turkey]: it's also a search engine

2004-10-10 [Young J.C.]: No, that is "Yahoo!" I onlt said "yahoo" look it up on Merriam-Webster's dictionary.

2004-10-10 [Sagacious Turkey]: yeah I know...

2004-10-10 [Hellspawn]: @Legolas_Hunter i know what you mean

2004-10-11 [SAHS]: Whee! I finally got here before BC to start the next fight! Oh, and congrats to you, garfield.

2004-10-11 [Sagacious Turkey]: why, thank you! Well, I'm off to sign up again...

2004-10-11 [Sagacious Turkey]: yall should make another rhyming insult arena!!!

2004-10-11 [BadCat]: Ptth. Look at the sign-up list... not enough people for two arenas! If we had more sign-ups, then maybe.

2004-10-12 [Sagacious Turkey]: can I sign up and go against myself?!

2004-10-12 [Young J.C.]: No, no. I want a rematch.

2004-10-12 [Sagacious Turkey]: sure... then I'll humiliate myself...

2004-10-12 [Young J.C.]: No no. I never did this once before and I wasn't use to the rules.

2004-10-12 [backfrommygrave5]: i agree i am doing better than last time

2004-10-13 [cobi]: hey garfield, what's the point of insulting yourself? i mean, that's what we are here fore. besides, you will probably lose anyway. ;-P

2004-10-13 [backfrommygrave5]: please dont take my insults personally

2004-10-13 [BadCat]: Um... that last one is a little long, backfrommygrave5. I suggest you try and keep it to one line.

2004-10-13 [psychicandroid]: Umm... I only found one word that rhymes with stupid and there is no way in hell I'm using cupid! Can you alter the line, [backfrommygrave5]?

2004-10-13 [Sagacious Turkey]: acrid, acted, added, aged, aided, alfred, aphid, arid, avid, baited, ballad, banded, basted, bated, batted, beaded, bearded, bedded, belted, betted, bided, blasted, bleated, blended, blessed, blighted, blinded, bloated, blood, blooded, blotted, blunted, blurted, boarded, boasted, boated, boded, bolded, bolted, bonded, boosted, booted, bounded, braided, branded, breaded, breasted, brooded, bud, budded, builded, bunted, busted, butted, candid, canted, carded, carted, casted, ceded, chanted, charted, chatted, cheated, chided, cited, clotted, clouded, clouted, coasted, coated, coded, corded, counted, courted, crafted, crated, crested, crooked, crowded, crud, crusted, cud, cupid, cuspid, darted

2004-10-13 [Young J.C.]: Actually, the Merriam-Webster said only cupid ryhmes.

2004-10-13 [SAHS]: Not all of those words rhyme with stupid, I'm sure, no matter how you pronounce them... I'd check www.rhymezone.com.

2004-10-13 [Young J.C.]: I checked too. Like crowded and stupid. The last two letters seem like they barely ryhme.

2004-10-13 [SAHS]: Hmm. Oh, well... Last I checked, if rhymezone recognized it as a rhyme, then the Arena would accept it too. Shrug.

2004-10-13 [psychicandroid]: Never mind, I think I've got one >:)

2004-10-14 [backfrommygrave5]: :) use it now what do i do ... do i wait for votes?

2004-10-14 [BadCat]: Growl.... Can the Audience please wait until a Minion has closed off the fight before voting? According to rhymezone, there is only one rhyme. Backfrommygrave5 has therefore broken one of the Rhyming Arena rules, and if [psychicandroid] decides, she can choose a penalty for her opponent. See Rhyming Insult Rules for more information--and before anyone ever dares to sign-up for a Rhyming Fight again. I am so bloody sick of people pleading ignorance.

2004-10-14 [psychicandroid]: Ohh, You mean I can punish him?

2004-10-14 [BadCat]: You can get a free vote for yourself, you can disqualify him, you can have him rewrite the offending line, or you can let it stand. It's your call. Depending on what you decide, those who don't seem to be able to read may have their votes removed.

2004-10-14 [psychicandroid]: Hmmm..... Well.... I'm feeling nice today. I'll let it stand.

2004-10-14 [Sagacious Turkey]: YAY! I'M GONNA VOTE!!!

2004-10-14 [backfrommygrave5]: what rule have i broken???? none i dont see any of them broken

2004-10-14 [backfrommygrave5]: thank u garfield

2004-10-14 [Sagacious Turkey]: I love Micheal Jackson jokes...

2004-10-14 [psychicandroid]: The last word you chose didn't have three different rhymes according to www.rhymezone.com. BTW, Good match.

2004-10-15 [SAHS]: Ahh! I missed it! Who won?

2004-10-15 [Broken Dreams]: yeah who won?

2004-10-15 [LonelyTylenol]: ronimull did. I gave the third vote...

2004-10-15 [Hellspawn]: you have the Archived Fights for that

2004-10-15 [SAHS]: Yay for ronimull. And yes, of course that's what the Archived Fights are for, but, naturally, I'm too lazy to bother going there when people can just tell me here. :)

2004-10-15 [LonelyTylenol]: No big deal. Hey, look everyone. I changed my sn!! (formerly Legolas_Hunter)

2004-10-16 [BadCat]: Blink. So you did. Any particular catalyst that brought on the change?

2004-10-16 [Nere]: ...a mallet? maybe....

2004-10-16 [BadCat]: If Dark Wolf Kimi hasn't shown by 7 days, then we'll get a new contestant.

2004-10-16 [LonelyTylenol]: Oh... nothing in particular... Just got bored of Legolas_Hunter. And became less of a crazed fan... I was never much of a fangirl in the first place, but I've given up on that completely. The only thing I superfan is the marching band. *geek alert* Did that even make sense?

2004-10-16 [LonelyTylenol]: Mallet kat is actually the instrument I play for marching band... Percussion. (duh, I suppose). It's awesome...

2004-10-16 [backfrommygrave5]: well when was the last time dark wolf kimi was on because it might be months

2004-10-16 [cobi]: one more day till we change the contestant. you know, i though to change my nick name for some time now, but it's too much of a pain so it hust stays.

2004-10-17 [SAHS]: I wish I had a nickname. That just kind of sticks, that I use everywhere. None of my usernames really stick. I'd change mine again if everyond didn't know me as Willow N. -.-

2004-10-17 [SAHS]: Grumble. I'm trying to make all of our pages look relatively the same--which basicall means just the text at the top of the page--but this one doesn't want to conform and look nice at the same time. -.-

2004-10-17 [LustForLike]: You should make it this green colour, with leaves down the side, then it will look the same as the other pages!

2004-10-17 [SAHS]: ... Smart ass. -.-

2004-10-17 [Sagacious Turkey]: ooo... a butt with the potential to become a scholar...

2004-10-17 [BadCat]: I know we've got enough new banners/medals et ceteras that we need already... but having some new *uniform* banners through the IA would be wonderful....

2004-10-17 [SAHS]: What, to replace the ones with Ari and Crimson? I think that it'd be nice to have a different banner for every page, if that is in fact what you're referring to, like we have with the IA1 and the main page.

2004-10-17 [BadCat]: I love all the banners we currently have... but if they had SOME theme... or even if their sizes/dimensions were just the same. It's too disjointed, in my (humble) opinion.

2004-10-18 [SAHS]: Ah, okay. Hmm. I could probably resize them and make them look relatively the same as they do now. Though I won't bet... well, anything on that. Don't know about giving any of them a theme, though. You'd probably have to confront the Master about that one. :)

2004-10-18 [BadCat]: Heh. By theme, I mean more... well, just something in common between them all--colour, size, mood... like when Ari started making the new banners (i.e., the one of you and he), he was planning on making more, with different people in different poses, etc, but they would have all tied in. Y'know? Am I just rambling? Any sense at all, here?

2004-10-18 [SAHS]: Yes, there's some sense there, because I was thinking the same thing. I'd like to see some more banners like the one of Ari and I; with different races and poses, but the same background and typeface, only different colors and stuff. That'd be neat. Shame I'm none too good with PhotoShop; I'd be more than happy to make some more banners. Perhaps I'll give it a try sometime this week if I'm not too busy with school. Hah. As if I'd actually take the time to study... But you never know. -.-

2004-10-18 [SAHS]: Oh, and if people actually send in pictures this time *coughBCcough*...

2004-10-18 [BadCat]: Hey! Pictures WERE taken! A couple of sample ones (of Stormy, I think) were sent in... but they were blurry, so more pictures were about to be taken... when the camera BROKE! It DIED! It wasn't all my fault!

2004-10-18 [SAHS]: Pfft. Excuses, excuses...

2004-10-18 [Sagacious Turkey]: hmm... you know I did the best... vote for me...

2004-10-18 [psychicandroid]: Actually, you did well. The mistake you made was in repeating 'you' at the end of one of your responses. You have improved, though.

2004-10-18 [Sagacious Turkey]: and what do you suggest I use instead of "you"?

2004-10-18 [psychicandroid]: do, shoe, blue, coo, boo, among others

2004-10-19 [BadCat]: Hey, Diablo... 'unkempt' is a word, y'know.

2004-10-19 [Doormat]: not in my vocabulary :D

2004-10-19 [Young J.C.]: Unkempt - not combined; deficient in order or neatness.

2004-10-20 [Sagacious Turkey]: there's more people that signed up for the RIA than the regular one... now can you make two rooms?

2004-10-20 [SAHS]: Heh. Do I recall correctly that that is indeed when BC said we'd make another one? Personally, I think one is enough: even though there are more people signed up for the rhyming fights doesn't really mean that there are enough to warrant a second arena.

2004-10-20 [BadCat]: Hah, I said we might make another RIA when there were enough people to warrant it... not when the normal IA was having a lousy day. I'm with Willow on this one, cat.

2004-10-20 [LonelyTylenol]: I'd agree with garfield, but I think another won't be necessary. Especially if people start coming to the arena when they're signed up. Those matches should take less time than regular matches. Or so you'd think... Less thought proccessing involved.

2004-10-20 [Andrei]: Although it's useless for me to say this, I'll say it anyway: An actual RIA match last very little, as compared to a IA match I also think another page isn't necesary. PS: I'M BACK!!(to all whom this may concern *grumbles*)

2004-10-20 [SAHS]: Okay, so I recalled incorrectly. =P Looks like we all agree, 'cept garfield. Sorry, cat. Now, if only Ninja'd get over here and start this match...

2004-10-21 [Sagacious Turkey]: drats

2004-10-21 [Caelicorn]: If I'm not allowed to talk about her in brackets, can I remove them and change the "she" to "you"? Oh and also in that case "cowers" and "glowers" will need to be made into "cower" and "glower." Sorry, I read through the rules but didn't see anything on this!! :P

2004-10-22 [Sagacious Turkey]: instead of making two pages, how about you let two fights go on at the same time on this page...

2004-10-22 [Sagacious Turkey]: and make a tag team rhyming battle!

2004-10-22 [SAHS]: Sigh. I don't think that's really necessary; these matches are so short, it'll take only a few days for the next pair to come up, and it's just a matter of patience and waiting one's turn, just as it is for the normal fights. It's really up to BC and cobi, I don't care what we do, but I'd be inclined to agree with them if they disagreed.

2004-10-22 [Sagacious Turkey]: shame...

2004-10-22 [SAHS]: I don't mean to keep saying 'no,' but it's just that we don't have enough sign-ups to really bother putting such a thing in action. But like I said, if BC thinks we could do that, then it's fine by me.

2004-10-22 [SAHS]: That was a good match, Ninja. In all honesty--given the state of the RIA lately--I was expecting a nice and easy match when I signed up. Glad I was proven wrong; you're definitely one of the better competitors the RA has seen lately. :)

2004-10-22 [Caelicorn]: Hwaaa! Thank you! It was a lot of fun battling you. I think it was a very close match ;)

2004-10-22 [SAHS]: Eh. Guess we'll see. :) Would you happen write poetry? I'd bet that you make an excellent poet. And while I'm at it, the drawing at your house if very nice, too. He looks deliciously evil. ;)

2004-10-22 [Caelicorn]: Haha we go from insults to compliments ;) and you are very photogenic! I'm a musician and I dabble in poetry, but nothing wow-factor! Your writing got very challenging after your second line. I admit I was both surprised and scared. Yes Conn is a nastee one.

2004-10-22 [Tielandros]: Meow?

2004-10-22 [SAHS]: Well, I'm not very well going to say "your drawing completely sucks," when it doesn't. :) Thank you; I am a model for, well, just about anyone that needs one, but mostly for a few of my photographer friends. Your dabbling is quite evident in the match; I'd like to see you face Aristotle, some time. Now that would be a good match.

2004-10-22 [SAHS]: Oh, and, to Tielandros: BARK!

2004-10-22 [Tielandros]: Bad dog! *smack* No barking!

2004-10-22 [Hellspawn]: EH! no smacking...keep the violence verbal plz

2004-10-22 [Tielandros]: *verbal smacks himself in the face* =@.@= *passes out*

2004-10-22 [Hellspawn]: uhmm smacking urself? i dont know if thats allowed? I am sure however its not that brigt

2004-10-22 [Tielandros]: *sits up* Well, I should really sign up for this thing. EvilNinja said she wanted to go up against me...=O.o=...

2004-10-23 [Hellspawn]: a hippo? 0_o i dont get it

2004-10-23 [BadCat]: Well... a big smelly beast... who plays in mud :)

2004-10-23 [Hellspawn]: oh, still don't get it :P

2004-10-23 [BadCat]: Ah, is it the actual word you don't get, or my insinuations? Hippo = hippopotamus animal. African beastie.

2004-10-23 [Hellspawn]: i dont get why that is a bad thing :D

2004-10-24 [Tielandros]: Hippos are fat and dirty.

2004-10-24 [Nere]: and mean! aren't they one of the top five killers in africa?

2004-10-24 [LonelyTylenol]: Yeah... I heard that...

2004-10-24 [Hellspawn]: hippos rule :D

2004-10-24 [Andrei]: question: how many hippos fit in a family car? 4. Two in the front and two in the back. How many moves does it take a hippo to get in a family car? 4. He opens the door, gets a hippo out, gets in and closes the door. (It's late I'm tired and in the mood for lame jokes! yay!)

2004-10-25 [LonelyTylenol]: That's somewhat amusing...

2004-10-25 [Hellspawn]: no its not, hes making fun of hippos :P

2004-10-25 [psychicandroid]: I had WAY too much to choose from there

2004-10-25 [BadCat]: And I don't have enough to choose from with 'hazard'. Mind rewording?

2004-10-25 [psychicandroid]: sure, give me a few seconds... there you go

2004-10-25 [psychicandroid]: I think I've just lost :(

2004-10-26 [BadCat]: Hey, good fight though! Thanks for the opportunity to kick your ass.... grin

2004-10-26 [psychicandroid]: Don't rub it in.... -_- Good match

2004-10-26 [Hellspawn]: hehe even if the voting was 5-0 you did pretty good

2004-10-26 [psychicandroid]: ........ I could say something here, but I'm not going to......

2004-10-26 [Hellspawn]: you said something :P

2004-10-26 [SAHS]: S'okay, ron. I thought you did a good job. Losing 5-0 doesn't mean anything, seriously. Hehe. I would know. :)

2004-10-26 [psychicandroid]: You're right. After all, I was going against Bad Cat, the reigning champion

2004-10-26 [SAHS]: Hmm... BC, are you undefeated?

2004-10-26 [Hellspawn]: after looking through the archives: it appears so 0_o

2004-10-26 [BadCat]: (tries not to gloat) Yup, I'm undefeated. Of course, that just makes every fight a little bit scarier... to lose that title now would devastate my ego.

2004-10-26 [psychicandroid]: hmmm I now have a new goal in life! To make BC lose a match! :cackles evily:

2004-10-26 [Hellspawn]: oh i feel a conspiracy coming up ;)

2004-10-27 [SAHS]: I'm betting... well, you'll know what I'm betting once the IAC sign-ups begin and I place my bets at the IAC Betting page. But I wonder, will BC still win? Hmm... It's going to be a good tournament this year, once it gets down to the Finals. 'Specially if Ari decides to participate. I'd bet on him beating BC...

2004-10-27 [Young J.C.]: Who is "Ari"?

2004-10-27 [Caelicorn]: Aristotle ;) I'm a newbie and I still know who he is. Read through the archives.

2004-10-27 [Young J.C.]: Oh well.

2004-10-27 [SAHS]: His Gloriousness the Arena Master. Sheesh. =P Hehehe.

2004-10-27 [Young J.C.]: I'm new to this also and rather not worry about the past, but only look foward to what is about to happen.

2004-10-27 [BadCat]: Hey, I've already beaten Ari once... (gives in to the gloating)

2004-10-27 [Hellspawn]: hehe you can be proud of your achievements ;)

2004-10-27 [SAHS]: Yes, you have beat him once. That was a very close match, though. Sigh. You... gloater. -.-

2004-10-27 [BadCat]: Close? I took all the votes! signed, The Gloater

2004-10-27 [Young J.C.]: Where is [backfrommygrave5]?

2004-10-27 [BadCat]: I just sent him a pester-message.

2004-10-27 [Young J.C.]: How much time does he get?

2004-10-28 [BadCat]: Depends. He has actually logged on since the fight has started... shrug. I sent him a reminder. If he doesn't show next time he logs in, then he's out. If it takes more than 3 or 4 days more for him to log in, then he's out.

2004-10-28 [Young J.C.]: Okay...

2004-10-29 [backfrommygrave5]: jesus that insult sux ass ...i need better insults

2004-10-29 [Doormat]: your is spelt you're.......nimrod :D

2004-10-29 [Young J.C.]: Common mistake.

2004-10-29 [Caelicorn]: uhh I really don't know who to vote for 0.0

2004-10-29 [Young J.C.]: That was one to many lines.

2004-10-29 [Young J.C.]: [SAHS]... he talked about me fucking my brother...

2004-10-29 [SAHS]: I know that, I read the match.

2004-10-29 [Young J.C.]: I'm a rhythmic rapper and a poet. Two liners doesn't cut it well enough, but good job [backfrommygrave5].

2004-10-29 [backfrommygrave5]: same to u [Young J.C.] ...it was just luck for me i had a bad time at ryming :p i would have never won without my ryming dictionary

2004-10-29 [Young J.C.]: I'm all about freestyle!

2004-10-29 [backfrommygrave5]: well im getting better at ryming since i use it every so often

2004-10-29 [Young J.C.]: I have written many rap songs, even some parodies.

2004-10-30 [backfrommygrave5]: i wright many poems of which have been entered in national contests

2004-10-30 [Young J.C.]: I keep most stuff to myself...

2004-10-30 [Broken Dreams]: lol!! yup, its true chris does write a load of poems........he even wrote a beautiful one for me ^-^

2004-10-30 [Young J.C.]: THat's cool.

2004-10-30 [Broken Dreams]: lol!! ow hey, haven't seen u around for a while, how have you been?

2004-10-30 [Young J.C.]: Good, about to go to bed... goodnight.

2004-10-30 [Sagacious Turkey]: poor [BadCat]... she's about to get her ego crushed by an immature, stupid, 13 year old...

2004-10-30 [Hellspawn]: neh i think she'll continue her winning streak ;)

2004-10-31 [LonelyTylenol]: Agreed! With Hellspawn, that is... And... You really shouldn't insult yourself like that WHILE you're competing... It's, using your own word, STUPID.

2004-10-31 [BadCat]: Yawn.

2004-11-01 [psychicandroid]: Garfield, I've already beaten you. :P If I couldn't beat her, you SURE AS HELL can't.

2004-11-01 [LonelyTylenol]: Okay... Garfield-It's called meter. Look it up!

2004-11-02 [Sagacious Turkey]: ooo... You used periods and everything! I'm so proud! *pats [LonelyTylenol]'s head*

2004-11-02 [Sagacious Turkey]: there's another enemy on the ol' list...

2004-11-02 [LonelyTylenol]: You're on mine too. Stupid people who annoy me, is where it's located, I think...

2004-11-02 [BadCat]: Hey, can anyone tell me why being like the Chicago Bulls is bad? I vaguely recall them being some kind of sports team... but that's all I know. Do they just suck at whatever they do, or is there something more meaningful to it?

2004-11-02 [Young J.C.]: All sports sucks...

2004-11-02 [Sagacious Turkey]: all right! I'm on another list! I'm so proud!

2004-11-02 [SAHS]: Basketball. The Bulls just plain suck. I guess. Not much of a B-Ball fan.

2004-11-02 [Hellspawn]: hey i have chicago bull socks!!!! okay just for the bull imprint but still :P

2004-11-03 [LonelyTylenol]: You've been on it for a long time. Trust me. And... I agree with jump. All sports sucks...

2004-11-03 [SAHS]: I'll play sports--I love playing sports--but I don't understand the point in watching them.

2004-11-03 [LonelyTylenol]: You know what's worse than watching them? Listening to them! One day there was a soccer game going on in the high school's stadium, so we (the marching band) had to practice behind the stands in the fields the middle-schoolers use. Some guy in the back of the stands actually yelled back to our directors to turn down the metronome so he could listen to the soccer game.

2004-11-07 [cobi]: i will let my insult stand as it is.

2004-11-07 [cobi]: i hope my new contetant shows up

2004-11-07 [Young J.C.]: Your new opponent been out for 9 days...

2004-11-07 [LonelyTylenol]: Have you ever noticed how there are regulars here in the comments section, and then there are the people who talk maybe once a month? If even that much... I don't know why I find that so amusing...

2004-11-07 [Young J.C.]: I tend to think, why sign up for something, that you won't be here for?

2004-11-07 [cobi]: well, i'll consult with BC, maybe i'll change opponentsagain.

2004-11-07 [BadCat]: Mallet Kat--the more noisome of the Audience are just the ones with little better to do. Grin. Everyone: Jumpsteady and cobi are right... we need a new opponent. Muttering tardy beggars.

2004-11-07 [Sagacious Turkey]: I have a diner I'm supposed to be running, but I'm here aren't I? besides... I leave the floor gremlin in charge when I'm gone... (don't ask, see reference Bob's Diner)

2004-11-07 [Doormat]: hehe...time to put some poetry rhyme experience to work

2004-11-07 [Sagacious Turkey]: I should use some of these rhymes for english class...

2004-11-08 [BadCat]: Sounds like the Apothecary's Bob the sock-stealing, butt-pinching demon guy.

2004-11-09 [Sagacious Turkey]: yo! [Hedda] threatened to ban me, if I ask him one more time... I think I'll let you ask...

2004-11-09 [Young J.C.]: Don't bother...

2004-11-09 [SAHS]: If he threatened to ban you, then I think that means he's not interested in competing.

2004-11-09 [Sagacious Turkey]: noooo... it means I'm not getting through to him...

2004-11-09 [Sagacious Turkey]: THROUGH HIS THICK FAT OVERSIZED SKULL!!!

2004-11-09 [Young J.C.]: You're not very smart... are you?
